I have extensive experience in teaching classical, jazz, musical theatre, and contemporary styles of singing, as well as beginning and intermediate level piano lessons after receiving a masters degree in Vocal Performance. My aim as a teacher is to inspire others through music and and instill a love for learning new ways to improve musicianship. Beyond the musicianship skills I teach, my goal is to help students achieve a greater sense of independence and confidence through performance and regular practicing. For me, the most rewarding part of teaching is seeing my students’ joy when overcoming obstacles and finding new ways of approaching their artistry. In lessons, my students and I discover individualized ways of achieving goals and learning new repertoire of various styles. Many of my students have performed in various shows and have gone on to study music performance and education at a college level. I love teaching because my students motivate me to be a better musician and to always discover new ways of teaching something I am so passionate about.
